Journalistin und Student inhaftiert

Zwei Mitglieder der Studierendenvereinigung „Confederation of Iranian Students“ (CIS), einer unabhängigen Gruppe ehemaliger und derzeitiger Studierender, sind festgenommen worden. Shiva Kamalipour Azad wurde am 26. April in Teheran in Haft genommen, und Mohammad Reza Fakhravar (der auch unter dem Namen Arash bekannt ist) soll um den 29. April auf dem Flughafen von Teheran festgenommen worden sein. Beide Männer sind nach Einschätzung von Amnesty International in Gefahr, gefoltert oder auf andere Weise misshandelt zu werden.

Die Journalistin Shiva Kamalipour Azad war zunächst am 17. April auf dem Internationalen Flughafen Imam Khomeini in Teheran festgenommen worden. Sie war auf dem Weg zu einer Konferenz über Journalismus in der muslimischen Welt und wollte über Dubai in die USA fliegen. Am Flughafen konfiszierten Sicherheitskräfte ihren Reisepass, Kamera, Computer und Mobiltelefon. Dann wurde sie ins Evin-Gefängnis von Teheran gebracht und nach vorliegenden Informationen einem Revolutionsgericht vorgeführt. Shiva Kamalipour Azad hatte bis zu ihrer Freilassung gegen Kaution am 24. April keinen Kontakt zur Aussenwelt. Sie soll während der Verhöre misshandelt worden sein. Zwei Tage später nahmen Angehörige der Sicherheitskräfte, bei denen es sich um MitarbeiterInnen einer Geheimdiensteinheit gehandelt haben soll, die Journalistin mitten in der Nacht im Haus ihres Grossvaters erneut fest. Man verband ihr die Augen und brachte sie zurück ins Evin-Gefängnis, wo sie seitdem festgehalten wird.

Der politisch aktive Student Arash Fakhravar soll bei seiner Ankunft in Teheran festgenommen worden sein, nachdem er aus Frankreich zurückgekehrt war, wo er sich als Asylbewerber aufgehalten hatte. Die genauen Umstände seiner Abreise aus Frankreich sind noch unklar. Auch der gegenwärtige Aufenthaltsort des Studenten ist nicht bekannt. Er könnte dem Verschwindenlassen zum Opfer gefallen sein.

Brother of Iranian dissident who spoke to PAC abducted hours later in Paris.

 Arash's family has not seen him since the abduction. In addition to having no contact with family, Abash was ordered to have bond set at $200,000. The steep bond is clearly punishment for having Amir as a brother and for Amir's getting Amnesty International involved.

Friends are working to get funds for bond and also funds for legal defense and urgently need help.

On Friday, April 29, the day after Amir Abbas Fakhravar, the leader of the Confederation of Iranian Students, spoke to members of To Protect Our Heritage and others about the Green Revolution in Iran, his brother was kidnapped in Paris by Iranian agents and forcibly returned to Tehran.
Mohammad Reza "Arash" Fakhravar, Amir's  twenty-year-old brother, was living under the protection of the French government after escaping from Iran in January.  He had previously applied for asylum in the
U.S. but was denied by the U.S. State Department.  Details of the abduction are still coming in, but right now we know that on Friday, April 29, agents of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran kidnapped Arash off a Paris street and got him into an  embassy vehicle with diplomatic plates. Claiming diplomatic privilege, the agents were able to get him past airport security and on to an Iran Air flight bound for Tehran. Arash's family has not been able to obtain any information about his location or condition.
The bold kidnapping in Paris of Arash Fakhravar is seen as a tactic to silence Arash's brother Amir Abbas Fakhravar, a former political prisoner and outspoken critic of Iran's repressive government.  As general secretary of the Confederation of Iranian Students, the largest secular democratic student opposition movement in Iran, Amir addresses citizens and legislators across the U.S. to gain support for Iran's Green Revolution. 

At his address to the Northbrook, Illinois audience on Thursday, April 28, Amir explained the CIS mission as pro-democracy, pro-Western, and anti-theocratic state. "We want Iran to be a normal country that lives in peace with its neighbors (including Israel). America is our model for liberty. I love this country!"  He was not aware that only hours after he issued that statement, his younger brother would be kidnapped by agents who loathe America and its liberty.
French authorities are investigating the kidnapping. Iran's authorizing and executing the kidnapping of a legally protected person in a foreign land outside their jurisdiction is a clear violation of international law.
Arash is the second member of the Confederation of Iranian Students to be kidnapped this week.  Shiva Kamalipour Azad was taken from her grandfather's house in Tehran earlier this week and has not been heard from since.
Amir and other representatives of the Confederation of Iranian Students are hoping to draw public attention to the abductions and by shining a light on the crimes protect the victims who may otherwise face unspeakable conditions in an Iranian prison.

Immidiate Release of Mohammad Reza “Arash” Fakhravar

Iranian government agents in Paris kidnapped the brother of Confederation of Iranian Students (CIS) leader Amir Fakhravar, took him past French security at Charles de Gaulle International Airport, and placed him aboard an Iran Air flight to Tehran.

The 20 year-old victim, Mohammad Reza “Arash” Fakhravar (pictured), was living under French government protection after receiving political asylum in January. He escaped from Iran last year to avoid persecution. French authorities are investigating the kidnapping.

“The Iranian Embassy in Paris abused the protected status of its vehicles and its personnel to commit a crime, by kidnapping a refugee who lived in France under French protection,” a source tells IranChannel. Arash Fakhravar is the second figure associated with the secular democratic student movement to be abducted in a week. Previously, 29 year-old Shiva Kamalipour Azad was taken from her grandfather’s house in Tehran while on bail after a week of brutal interrogations at Evin Prison. She has not been heard from since.

CIS has launched an online petition to free Shiva. Ironically, the younger Fakhravar had just placed a “Free Shiva” icon on his Facebook page in the hours before his kidnapping

IranChannel has pieced together the information available so far: In 2010, Arash Fakhravar escaped from Iran. In January, 2011, France gave him political asylum. In March and April, he joined other Iranian exiles in street protests against the regime.

On Friday, April 29, agents of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran approached Arash on a Paris street during a protest against the regime. They took him into an embassy vehicle with diplomatic plates. They transported him to Charles de Gaulle Airport, claiming diplomatic immunity to get him past French security, and, using diplomatic privilege, avoided the check-in process completely by driving the car directly to the stairway of an Iran Air aircraft bound for Tehran. One of the agents boarded the plane and delayed the flight to make arrangements to take Arash back to Iran as others stood guard at the stairway.

In Iran, government officials alerted members of the Fakhravar family to pick up Arash. The family members waited for three hours after the plane had landed, without seeing any sign of the young man. At about 2:00 a.m. local time, after family members repeatedly pressed herassat airport about the whereabouts of Arash, officials told them that Arash’s case was a matter of “national security” and that they had no information about where Arash had been taken. The airport security officials suggested that the family go to the Revolutionary Court the following day.

Today, the Revolutionary Court said it had no word about Arash, suggesting that the young man is in the hands of intelligence officials outside regular judicial channels.

Arash Fakhravar has a history of student activism against the regime. On December 7, 2009, he was arrested for participating in Ashura protests and was held for a month in solitary confinement at Evin Prison. He was released on bail and was placed on seven years’ probation. He escaped Iran in 2010.

Update on abduction of Arash Fakhravar in Paris; French authorities were alerted by FBI

More details have emerged in Europe about the April 29 abduction in Paris of Arash Fakhravar. Blogger Mehrtash, who is close to the Confederation of Iranian Students (CIS), brings us the following details that IranChannel did not originally report. We have checked with Mehrtash and report the following news from his blog:

• After kidnapping Arash on a Paris street, Islamic Republic of Iran agents took the victim in an Iranian Embassy diplomatic car to Orly airport in Paris. Our initial report stated an incorrect French airport.
• The victim was forced aboard Iran Air flight 732 to Tehran.
• The kidnappers failed to search Arash for his cell phone, which is how Arash was able to call to make an alert about his abduction.
• The Iranian government agents “left him seated as they discussed his ‘illegal deportation’ status with flight security” at the stairway to the Iran Air jet at Orly airport. “It was then that Arash seized the opportune moment to telephone and alert his brother, Amir Fakhravar, in Washington, DC.”
• “‘At first I thought he was playing a practical joke,’ explained Amir Fakhravar, ‘but then through the phone in the background I heard a flight attendant’s announcement that the flight was held for a late passenger and [would] be departing for Tehran shortly.’”
• In Washington, “Amir immediately contacted the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), [which] then got in touch with the French authorities and soon a full investigation was in effect.”
• Iran Air flight 732 arrived in Tehran at approximately 23:50 hours, local time.
• Arash’s mother had been alerted about the flight (apparently from her son in Washington) and was at Imam Khomeini airport to pick him up. However, he never appeared with the other passengers. After a three-hour wait, she inquired with airport staff, and was told they had no knowledge of Arash’s presence on the flight.
• Another airport employee, apparently feeling sorry for Arash’s mother, came forward and said that her son “had been on the flight, but was escorted off the plane through the other exit because he was categorised as a ‘National Security Case’ and not a regular passenger.”
• “It was later confirmed that Arash is currently detained at a prison of the Revolutionary Guards Intelligence Service, where no further information on his well-being or fate is disclosed.”
• The French government is actively investigating the case, and French lawyers are helping the Fakhravar family.

Punishable by death?

Mehrtash also reports that Arash Fakhravar had participated in an anti-regime protest in Paris in March, at which “he war the Iranian ‘Lion and Sun’ flag around his neck, as he set fire to a photograph of the current IRI [Islamic Republic of Iran] Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei – an offence punishable by death under IRI law.”

While burning Khamenei’s picture, Arash “also held another picture of the late Mohammad Mokhtari, who was shot dead by the IRI paramilitary Basij during the 2011 Valentines Day (25 Bahman) protests in Iran. As a result, this image of Arash was photographed and also used in subsequent protests.”

محمد رضا(آرش فخر آور) که یک دانشجوی ۱۹ ساله است نیز هنگام ورود به تهران پس از بازگشت از فرانسه بازداشت شد. آرش فخر آور در فرانسه تقاضای پناهندگی کرده بود اما به ایران بازگردانده شد. سازمان عفو بین الملل می گوید شرائط وی هنگام ترک خاک فرانسه روشن نیست و معلوم نیست که وی در حال حاضر در کجا بسر می برد و حتی گفته می شود که وی به اجبار ناپدید شده است.امیرعباس فخرآور،با استخدام یک وکیل بین المللی فرانسوی از رژیم  جمهوری اسلامی و سفارت آن در فرانسه به اتهام ادم ربایی به دادگاه شکایت کرده است. وی به همرام مهلقا فخرآور خواهر آرش در فرانسه، کمپینی بین المللی برای این آدم ربایی ایجاد کرده و مشغول ملاقات با سیاستمداران فرانسوی، امریکایی و اتحادیه اروپا هستند.

سازمان عفو بین الملل در اطلاعیه ای از بازداشت دو تن از اعضای کنفدراسیون دانشجویان ایرانی در ایران خبر داده است و خواستار آزادی فوری آنان شده است.

این اعلامیه که در روز جمعه ۸ مه -  ۱۶ اردیبهشت -  صادر شده حاکی از آنست که ۲ نفر از دانشجویان عضو کنفدراسیون دانشجویان ایران* که یک گروه مستقل از دانشجویان قدیم و جدید است، در تهران بازداشت شده اند.

یکی از این ۲ دانشجو شیوا کمالی پور آزاد و دیگری محمد رضا (آرش) فخر آور نام دارد.

شیوا کمالی پور یک دانشجوی ۲۹ ساله است که ابتدا در فرودگاه امام خمینی در تهران در ۲۸ فروردین توسط نیروهای امنیتی ایران دستگیر شد. شیوا در حال ترک ایران برای شرکت در کنفرانس بین المللی روزنامه نگاری در باره دنیای مسلمانان در آمریکا بود که توسط ماًمورین امنیتی بازداشت شد.

با این همه، وی یک هفته بعد با سپردن وثیقه نقدی آزاد شد ولی ۲ روز بعد مجدداً در نیمه شب توسط ۶ ماًمور امنیتی دستگیر و به زندان اوین بازگشت داده شد.

از سوی دیگر، محمد رضا(آرش فخر آور) که یک دانشجوی ۱۹ ساله است نیز هنگام ورود به تهران پس از بازگشت از فرانسه بازداشت شد. آرش فخر آور در فرانسه تقاضای پناهندگی کرده بود اما به ایران بازگردانده شد.

سازمان عفو بین الملل می گوید اگر آنطور که بنظر می رسد این فعالان تنها به این خاطر بازداشت شده اند که از حقوق حقه خود بطور آرام برای آزادی بیان و آزادی اجتماعات استفاده کرده اند، باید آزاد شوند. علاوه بر آن، سازمان عفو بین الملل می خواهد که از هر گونه شکنجه ای در باره این ۲ زندانی خودداری شده و به آنان امکان داده شود که بطور مرتب با خانواده های خود در تماس باشند و همچنین بتوانند وکیل مورد نظر خود را انتخاب کنند.

بنا بر وب سایت کنفدراسیون دانشجویان ایرانی ، این تشکیلات طرفدار غرب و مستقل دانشجویی دارای بیش از ۷۰۰۰ عضو در داخل و خارج ایران است.
مهمترین هدف این تشکیلات، قدرت دادن به خواست مردم ایران و بالا بردن اعتماد به نفس آنان برای بدست آودن آزادی است که در همین راستا این تشکیلات در زمینه های اجتماعی فرهنگی هنری و ورزشی فعالیت دارد.
کنفدراسیون دانشجویان ایرانی به صورت رسمی در نوامبر ۲۰۰۲ با دبیر کلی، زندانی سابق امیر فخرآور برادر بزرگ آرش، شروع به فعالیت کرد.
شیوا کمالی پور آزاد یکی از بنیان گذاران کنفدراسیون و از اعضای شورای مرکزی آن در حال  سفر به دبی برای گرفتن ویزا به امریکا بوده  است چراکه در ۸ می ۲۰۱۱ در کنفرانسی با عنوان روابط ایران وامریکا و نسل جدید که در دانشگاه امنیت ملی آمریکا برگزار شده است سخنرانی داشته  است.شیوا در سال ۲۰۰۹ نیزچندین بار برای فعالیت در کنفدراسیون دانشجویان ایرانی بازداشت شده شود.
محمدرضا ۳۱ دسامیر ۲۰۱۰ بعد از تظاهرات که در ایران علیه رژیم برگزار شده بود
در اواخر ژانویه۲۰۱۱ ، از ایران به عراق فرار می کند و درخواست پناهندگی وی در سازمان امور پناهندگان وابسته به سازمان ملل ثبت میشود، ۳۰ ژانویه وی به فرانسه سفر میکند و به عنوان پناهنده در آنجا بوده است تا اپریل ۲۰۱۱ .وی در فرانسه نیز در تظاهرات علیه جمهوری اسلامی شرکت داشته و تصویر رهبر جمهوری اسلامی را آتش زده است.
خانواده اش در ایران و خارج تا به حال نتوانسته اند از محل نگهداری، پس از بازگشتش از فرانسه به ایران مطلع شوند.

در فوریه ۲۰۱۱ رحیم رستمی نوجوان کرد ۱۹ ساله  از نروژ به ایران بازگردانده شد که از وی هم خبری نیست و تلاشها برای آزادی وی با وثیقه نیز میسر نشده است.

روز ۱۷ فوریه ۲۰۱۱  یک عضو سابق دیوان عالی کشور در روزنامه ایران مقاله ای را منتشر کرده است که می گوید در قوانین قضایی در ایران فردی که خارج از ایران مرتکب عمل غیرقانونی شود، در داخل کشور مورد بازخواست و محاکمه قرار خواهد گرفت. همچنین کسانی که درخارج از ایران درخواست پناهندگی کنند مجازات خواهند شد
روز ۲۶ آپریل در روزنامه کیهان که توسط دفتر رهبری سرپرستی میشود اعلام شده است ،ایرانیانی که پناهنده میشوند به مخالفان ایران کمک می کنند.

آرش فخرآور در پاریس توسط مامورین سفارت جمهوری اسلامی ربوده و به زندان اوین فرستاده شد

جمعه نهم اردیبهشت یکهزار و سیصد و نود، در حالی که خسته از سخنرانی موفق شب گذشته ام در شیکاگو برای دقایقی چشمهایم را بسته بودم، با صدای زنگ موبایلم بیدار شدم.

برادر کوچکم محمد رضا (آرش) پشت خط بود. با صدای آرام و وحشت زده ای  گفت: امیر، مامورا منو با یه ماشین آوردن انداختن توی هواپیمای ایران ایر دارن میبرن منو ایران. میدونم کشته میشم ولی بدونید که من تا آخرین لحظه با خامنه ای می جنگم

آرش با صدای لرزان سعی کرد به من حالی کند که توسط مامورین سفارت جمهوری اسلامی ربوده شده است. باور نکردم تا وقتی صدای مهماندار هواپیمای ایران ایر را شنیدم که از مسافران برای تاخیر پیش آمده در پرواز عذر خواهی می کرد و می گفت منتظر یک مسافر دیگر هستند و تا چند دقیقه دیگر پرواز خواهند کرد. دنیا پیش چشمانم سیاه شد و شروع کردم سر آرش فریاد کشیدن. بغض گلویش را گرفته بود و فریادهای مرا تحمل می کرد و می گفت کاری از دستش بر نمی آید و مامورین وزارت اطلاعات بیرون درب هواپیما هستند. آخرین جمله اش این بود که : امیر به روح بابا قسم آبروی تو و آبروی خانواده را در زندان و زیر شکنجه حفظ خواهم کرد. حلالم کن داداش. به خدا من ترسو نیستم و تا آخرش می جنگم

فقط فریاد میزدم و دیگر حرفهایش را نمی شنیدم. امیر گلعلی پور گوشی موبایل را از من گرفت و سعی کرد از آرش بپرسد که ماجرا چیست ولی تلفن قطع و گوشی آرش خاموش شد. با خواهرم مهلقا تماس گرفتم و گفتم با پلیس فرانسه تماس بگیرد و آدمربایی توسط ماموران سفارت جمهوری اسلامی را گزارش کند. مهلقا نمیتوانست جلوی اشکهایش را بگیرد و صدای مهسا کوچولو را هم می شنیدم که با بغض از مادرش میپرسید: چی شده مامان؟ دایی محمد چی شده؟

خانواده ام در تهران را با خبر کردیم تا هنگام رسیدن هواپیما از پاریس در فرودگاه باشند. همه مسافران پرواز پاریس در فرودگاه بین المللی خمینی پیاده شدند ولی آرش از درب اصلی فرودگاه خارج نشد و ماموران امنیت فرودگاه به خانواده ام خبر دادند که آرش همراه تیم امنیتی وزارت اطلاعات مستقیما از پله های هواپیما به زندان منتقل شده است. هیچوقت آرش، برادر کوچکم را باور نمی کردم. زندان رفتنهای متوالی و طولانی مدت امکان اینکه با خانواده باشم و خواهر و برادر هایم را بتوانم درک کنم از من گرفته بود. آخرین خاطراتم با آرش به مهرماه ۱۳۸۳ وقتی پدرم کشته شد، موبوط بود. با تلاشهای عمادالدین باقی چند روز از زندان اوین مرخصی گرفتم تا در خاکسپاری پدرم با خانواده باشم. سر خاک بابا همه برادر و خواهرهایم را زیر بالم گرفتم و رو به پیکر جان پدرم که روی آن خاک میریختند به او قول دادم که فرزندانش را خوشبخت کنم. خوب نگاههای معصومانه آرش را که آنزمان سیزده ساله بود یادم هست. به من تکیه داده بود و با چشمان سبزش نگاهم می کرد. نگاهش پر از پرسش بود از قهرمان زندگی اش، برادر همیشه غایبی که همیشه هر وقت از مادر میپرسید: کجاست؟، می شنید: زندان یا دانشگاه

حالا آرش شده قهرمان من و از صمیم قلب به برادر کوچولوی خودم افتخار می کنم.  ترانه اعدام با صدای آرش را با هم بشنویم و برایش دعا کنیم تا شکنجه و سلول انفرادی را تحمل کند و نشکند.
